Trump SHOULD be jubilant: this appears to me to be a bellwether election, not necessarily BECAUSE Trump saved a clearly doomed election, but because of the WAY the election was saved, a WAY that SHOULD serve as a winning template for the GOP in nearly ALL House elections, namely go totally pro-Trump on the issues and attack the Dem as a lackey of the insane Dems and force the Dem opponent to either defend or deny each and every insane position being advocated by the gaggle of nutjob Dem presidential contenders ...

I listened to Bishop at the Trump rally Monday evening, and basically heard him unabashedly position himself as a Trump mini-me by convincingly parrot every major Trump position, yet friends near NC 9th tell me bishop was NOT doing that when he was down 17 points, but instead was running some kind of namby-pampy, watered-down, GOPe/RINO, consultant-driven, conventional pablum and drivel campaign that is typical of the losing kind of GOP campaign. But then bishop apparently took Trump’s advice (probably out of desperation) and switched to a hell-fire and brimstone, full-bore, damn-the-torpedoes, pro-everything-Trump type campaign and consequently came back from that deficit and won with a bigger margin than the GOP did in 2018 in that district.

I’ve been advocating here that ALL GOP House members run a campaign in 2020 based solely on national, pro-Trump, anti-socialist-nutjob-insanity issues and force their Dem opponents to either deny or defend the insanity being advocated by the Dem presidential candidates ...

If the above is really what actually happened in bishop’s case, then all other GOP House candidates should realize that the above is a template for a winning campaign and successful election, and they ALL should do their damndist to replicate it!
