Open catty is just that: One can openly carry a handgun.
Constitutional carry is open or concealed.
Some states have specific restrictions in their state constitutions AGAINST concealed carry.

Permitless open carry means you can openly carry a loaded handgun in most public places, without a permit.

Constitutional Carry means you can carry a loaded handgun in most public places, openly or concealed, without a permit.

Constitutional Carry is what the state of the law was when the Constitution was ratified in 1789. No permits were required for either open or concealed carry at the time.

It wasn't until 40 years later that the first laws restricting concealed carry were passed. The Supreme Court first held the Bill of Rights did not apply to the states in 1833.
