That was to be expected - but of course that is much better than the wall to wall coverage for a week or more of how it is "over for the GOP" had the opposite result occurred providing billions in free media for the Democrats and demoralizing the GOP base and potential candidates considering whether or throw their hats into the ring. The Democrats ran an excellent candidate in this race vs. GOP's solid, but ordinary candidate - and they still lost.
If the Democrats had run an openly Marxist, wild-eyed candidate, would that have drawn more Democrats to vote or would the Dem have lost by a greater margin?
