I'll see if I can find the dating website survey from a few years ago where men rated women on the site a near perfect bell-curve for women while women rated the top 20% 8-10s and everyone else 1-4 with nothing in between. Again, if you want to even get a taste of what the top alpha guys get, setup a profile on all the dating sites (match, bumbl, plenty of fish, tinder, etc) of a super hot 25 year old guy, write something a**holish in your profile and just see what happens. And that's without ANY "game" which is 3/4 of the battle.
You realize that “Dating website surveys” are the worst form of social science data? It is no way representative of the population as a whole.

Apparently you have immersed yourself in this virtual milieu and confused it with reality. Googles says that half of young adults use dating apps. Other research says 1/3 of that half use them for hook ups. In reality land, that is 16% of young adults behaving as you describe.
Technology has not changed basic human nature.
