Grampa, to be honest, I think we would all be so very much happier without the 24/7 narrative.
I cut all my tv news watching down to one hour only, Liz Wheeler only, no one else is necessary or needed, and it was great. Seemed like my mind was quieter.
Then a few days ago, my dish went out. Even though it got fixed today, I didn’t miss TV at all. Well I did almost miss the blacksmithing show, but that’s it!
The effect of this narrative is that it seems to put people in a constant state of siege, some sinister, nebulous enemy from somewhere constantly attacking , never-ending fight or flight response.
And they are doing it to children in school, just marinating them in this madness.
What would we do without all the left wing and phoney conservative bs 24/7? I think we would be sane.
The same polls that showed Killary winning by a landslide?
6 in 10 Americans can’t even spell recession.
Jim Cramer of The Street said last week the the only place in the world talking recession is the USA.
Of course the (D) and their media allies won’t stop trying to create one like in 2007 - just in time for the election.
Who believes it?
People who want to.
“Grampa, to be honest, I think we would all be so very much happier without the 24/7 narrative.”
We are happier and sleep better, since we cut our cable starting 3 years at the end of this month.
During the Bush years we pulled the plug on news from ABCNNBCBS.
We stopped watch Faux in Aug 2016 during the Iowa debate debacle with MeAgain.
Then, we pulled the plug on local news after Trump was elected president. Too much anti Trump BS and if it bleeds, it is news and trying to relate that to Trump’s fault.
