The right answer is a unilateral, and complete withdraw of US forces from Afghanistan.
Without conditions, and without a “deal”.
The United States has absolutely no interests there that justify military involvement on any level.
It’s a problem for Pakistan, China and Iran to solve.
Or not.
And no, I don’t care what happens there when we’re gone.
Let the People's Liberation Army have its chance in Afghanistan.
I completely and fully agree with your post 28. We need to leave, and not care about what happens to that third-world hellhole when we pack up and leave.
Bring back every piece of equipment we can, then demolish the bases - leave nothing for the saracens to use.
“The right answer is a unilateral, and complete withdraw of US forces from Afghanistan.”
Is that the best we have to offer, and honor, all whose lives we already lost there?
We already know what such a “victory” (Vietnam “peace”) did to the U.S. military (demoralized), and is that what we need right now, with all the other hot spots in the world and growing threats from China??
We neither have to greatly up our game in Afghanistan, or leave it to the Taliban. Time is on our side, as long as we remind the Taliban of that.
Yep.
