My car in 1966 and most of 1967 was a 1966 Pontiac GTO convertible. In 1968, one of my Orange County friend’s fathers owned an American Motors dealership in or near Fullerton and he gave his son a brand new 1968 AMX Javelin with the 390, four speed and the “Go-Pac” option which I drove extensively one night up and down the PCH in the vicinity of Huntington Beach. Given the choice, I’d have taken the AMX in a heartbeat.

as an old VN Vet...”One night” does not impress me much....unless you got paid to drive it again the 2nd nite....

But in any event...”Welcome home Brother”

(just as a scientific observation...are you still married to your HS sweetheart?)
