They should have just added a $25 per flight "passenger surcharge" and told everybody it was for enhanced screening equipment - the Chertoffs of the world could have extracted even more cash with less public complaint.
Nobody should have to bribe airline security to respect their Constitutional rights.
Abolish the TSA and return security to the private airlines who have an interest in balancing the need for security with the need to attract paying customers.
Israel is surrounded by hostile countries that want it wiped off the map. Yet they do an excellent job of screening out terrorists without resorting to the oppressive tactics of the TSA. Maybe we could learn something from them.
