Here I was wondering why they didn’t give the name of the so called “Rural King.” I have never ever heard of the Rural King.
There is a Rural King in our area. They resemble a giant Co-op with some extras thrown in, such as clothes, some food, etc. They aren’t a replacement for a grocery store or a WalMart, but they are a nice option. I go there periodically and have been very pleased.
Rural King Supply is a farm supply store based in Mattoon, Illinois,
United States. Founded in 1960, it now has 109 stores in the U.S.
states of Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, Ohio,
Michigan, Missouri, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West
Virginia, and Alabama.

I’ve been in them. Think of them as a Walmart specifically for farmers. I was in where they had chickens for sale.
I had the same question and observation. Whos ever heard of Rural King?
I had never heard of it either until they opened one near me. At first there was very little on the shelves but chickenfeed, pet food and a gun counter but each week it got better as their sales improved, now they have everything from tractor batteries and plumbing supplies, to clothes and groceries, except a meat counter and produce section.
Just a dim wit.
I live in rural Florida on a cattle farm quite a ways from a big city. Rural King is "king" for us.
Beside buying food at the grocery store, Rural King is the biggest retailer we frequent.
They are a relatively new operation but they have everything under the sun and they beat everybody's prices.
Huge store with everything you'd want at home or the farm.
