And NO - when you were watching it on the FIRST of September - which is what the tweet from the Birmingham office is about - you did not see ANY model taking it across Florida into the Gulf. There were NONE doing that on teh first - which AGAIN is what this article is about - the tweet from the FIRST.
I am showing the actual NHC forecasts from an actual OFFICAL emergency manager program used by governmental agencies. That is what ALL official decisions would be made from - not model tracks.
But - since you insist...as you can see - there were NO models forecasting it. Even the ensembles had come into agreement (but those are no longer available - but they were in agreement with these):
