Lately I've made it a point to count the number of riders on city buses that I pass on the streets. Here in the Hampton Roads area in Virginia, full-sized buses routinely have no more than three or four riders using them at any given time. How much do these things cost? How much fuel is wasted? Pollution generated? They could be using minivans that cost a helluva lot less money.
My little city runs a 12k weekly deficit running electric zero emission buses around town, all empty. But ,the wear and tear is the same, they just bought a new fleet.
My area of Florida has "solved" that problem... The city put pictures over the bus windows so it's difficult for citizens to see a bus built for 60 people carrying 2 riders.
White liberal elites 'believe' in public transportation - for the little people... So they build crap that doesn't work for anyone (except to feed their big fat egos)
Tucson Az buses too. Its a flat out crime just how much is wasted and they always seem to want MORE!
