The INDIAN POINT NUCLEAR POWER PLANT, which supplies nearly 25% of New York City’s electricity, Indian Point Unit 2 and Unit 3 are scheduled to shut down by April 30, 2020 and April 30, 2021 respectively, as part of an agreement reached with New York State in January 2017 ( Yep, that’s Gov. Andrew Cuomo for you ).
I still have not read or heard what they plan to replace it with.

Maybe NY state will buy power from Quebec Hydro who operates the hydroelectric power dams. Or maybe they will build natural gas plants.
Over the years and watching all of the plant shut downs and huge expenses, I am not sure if I am a fan of nuclear power. I am more of a fan of natural gas or hydroelectric (where available).
