Sigh. In reading this, it sounds like Brees was taken advantage of by this organization and used the relationship with him to further their goals in a way he may or may not have agreed with.
Brees had his hand forced and can't say how he really feels because in his ultra-PC environment, it would be the kiss of professional death. If that is the case, I sympathize, but if I were in his shoes I wouldn't openly lie about it.
Brees doesn't have a problem with homosexuality, in which case many people might take issue with his professed following of the Christian faith.

In nearly every way, I lose respect for him. I might not go out of my way to advertise my views on various things, but if asked, I won't lie. So he either supports homosexuality or he lied to protect himself.
