A message from CVS Health"
"We support the efforts of individuals and groups working to prevent gun violence, and continually review our policies and procedures to ensure our stores remain a safe environment. We join a growing chorus of businesses in requesting that our customers, other than authorized law enforcement personnel, do not bring firearms into our stores."

Pharmacy employees used to be followed to their cars by drug thugs who demanded they get them opioids and other street popular drugs from the store. Now no fear of anyone with a gun around but the thugs.
Also, some pharmacies had signs that customers had to wait 1 -2 days to get certain Rxs filled so store would not have to have a large supply and risk attracting a robber.
So CVS and the others are going to be 100% responsible for my safety and well being? Won’t do me a bit of good if I am in one of their stores and get killed during a robbery, but maybe my survivors can go after them. In a just world, they would be held responsible for this policy in some form or another.
In this world, the first question will be, “Did you need to be in the store at that time?” and it becomes my fault for being there. Guess I can start going back to military hospital for stuff and/or have them mail it to me.
No, CHina is not desperate at all.
American greed and wanting to believe these liars is proof of our desperation... even TRUMP!
Police have to leave guns outside like cowboys did in Winchester 73 with James Stewart.
They are allowed to carry a flower to offer, unlit stick of incense and a pamphlet by Marianne Williamson advocating world peace. And a nightstick if painted in pastel colors to look non-menacing.
It seems the comments on the Twitter after the statement they think that only the people that come in with guns are criminals and now they won’t come in because they have a policy of no guns.
So now nobody in the store will have a gun when the criminals come in to rob the store nobody will be able to protect themselves and all these thank you that these people said oh thank you oh thank you oh finally, people are something else.
But law enforcement can still carry in the store after the crime write up the reports silly silly people
NO! As for the CVS statement, this is a no gun policy, creating another gun free (target rich) zone. I will cc at CVS as I always have...and, if I do it correctly, Im the only one who knows a firearm is nearby. This is NOT the same policy put forward by Walgreens and Walmart, requesting no open carry. A VERY different and stupid business strategy on the part of CVS.
Future lawsuit-rich environment! Thanks cvs! And we all know how deep your pockets are! LOL
In all seriousness, the only reason they are doing this is to appease the social justice warriors. They never know when the next busload of grassroot protestors are gonna arrive at the door and for what reason. Reasons change hourly. These fascist leftists are so freaking insane even they dont know what the next protest is going to be about.
All they had to do was NOT be crazy.......
Are you sure? Their currency is not that good at all, compared to the dollar, or they would not be wanting to “talk” about resolving the trade issues with the USA.
They simply know that President Trump will not play their games.
Plus we have some “crazy” folks on FR
.
Like you said, no problem. Make your reqeust.
Rather, they KNOW they LOST the trade war with the USA.
Sorry to burst your bubble.
Kind of how I feel about it.
CVS was in the forefront to remove tobacco products from their stores.
Are they selling those electronic cig killers?
I must be slow - I don’t get it.
The few times I go into a CVS or other “drug store” there are virtually empty. They have one or two customers, and at least one of them looks more like a shoplifter. I seriously doubt that they have many open carry customers. So why needlessly alienate so many?
They can’t stop me from going there (not without a confrontation that I guarantee they are too frightened to initiate) but now I’ll only patronize if there is no alternative.
There’s one other thing that these bozos haven’t figured out yet - If they prevent me from defending myself they assume liability for anything that occurs while I am in their store.
They are going to regret their shortsightedness.
They said, “please don’t carry weapons into our store”. That’s a total ban.
I don’t know about that.
