Go to c-ville.com and search “Fields” to pull up a lot of articles. C-ville is a lefty local newspaper, so treat it with caution, but there are articles reporting factual testimony at trial about the horrendous damage Fields did to many victims. You can probably find the trial transcripts somewhere online. There is no doubt as to Fields’ motives and his responsibility. Eyewitnesses testified about seeing the woman he killed “flying through the air”. Other victims have had to have multiple surgeries, and their lives were wrecked. Too many folks are in willful denial of what Fields is and the harm he caused. Good on you for wanting to look into the facts.
Thanks for the link, and I took some time to look through a few articles. He was fined something like a half million dollars with a life sentence + the 419 years.
That makes this lawsuit even weirder for me - how would he ever be able to pay the court judgement and somehow profit from a book deal? Bogus lawsuit just seems designed to keep drawing attention to the case. At the same time, I have to give the benefit of a doubt to a grieving mother, I’ve never lost a child, nor can I even imagine what she went through.
what we have here is a non pc white defendant getting railroaded.....guilty of something yes...prosecute....but this was a persecution.....
if this was a black guy, they would be coming out of the woods to defend this utter travesty....
