It is no big deal. Usually caused by lifting something too heavy..like when I have lifted toilets during installation, Other causes.. severe coughing or a sneeze, straining during a BM.
First time I got one was at a Home Depot loading a toilet on to a push trolley. An employee asked me who punched me. I had no idea what he was talking about.
When I got to my car and saw my eye, I thought it was something serious. I zoomed to the opthalmologist who basically laughed his butt off. Said it was no big deal. There was no treatment for it, and it would go away in a few weeks.
He advised me to stop lifting toilets that weigh more than me.
Was it a Ferguson?
“usually caused by lifting something too heavy”
So, you’re saying Joe Biden was lifting something heavy and that caused the blood vessel to pop? Sorry, I missed the debate. What was he lifting, and the other debaters have to lift heavy things too? What, for example, did Elizabeth Warren life, or Bernie Sanders?
The following mostly backs you up, but it also backs me up as it includes in the list of causes high blood pressure (which is in the list of ailments that beset Biden).
“The conjunctiva, the thin, watery membrane that coasts the eye, contains many small blood vessels. Occasionally, these blood vessels can burst and led to hemorrhage (bleeding) that appears as a red patch on the white of the eye. In the majority of cases, this type of bleeding (called subconjunctival hemorrhage) occurs without a known cause. Subconjunctival hemorrhage can also result from certain medical conditions including trauma, high blood pressure, eye infections, and bleeding disorders. The straining associated with vomiting, coughing, or sneezing can also sometimes lead to subconjunctival hemorrhage.”

Is it your opinion is that Biden has always been a dim-wittted cheater, plagiarizer and embellisher, and is no more stupid or embarrassing than he has been all his public life, so nobody should be concerned about his age or the cumulative effects of medical conditions including that he had two brain aneurysms in 1988; had a benign polyp removed after a colonoscopy in 1996; had his gall bladder removed in 2003; suffered a period of atrial fibrillation in 2006; and, that he now takes prescription medicine for high blood pressure and an enlarged prostate; that suffers from asthma and several allergies; that his campaign schedule is much lighter than his opponents; that he hasn’t released any medical records since 2008; and, even back then did not release any brain images?
If you have been lifting toilets the same way for years without issues but one day you do it and you get the burst eye vessel, it is at least time for a general health check. From the ophthalmologist point of view no danger to the eye but a GP might want to check BP, a1c, and general health. It can be a point of reflection to ensure continued good health. That being said, I now wonder how often it happens to serious weight lifters.
