Beautiful. Just beautiful job with that ball. Sigh, I sure miss bowling. I used to do a lot of it. Can’t do it now because my back sucks, and I’ll spend fifty bucks the next day to get it fixed.
My favorite bowling memory, though, is when I lived in Yokosuka, Japan.
I was maybe nine or ten, and I loved bowling. On the base, it was really cheap to bowl, and my parents bowled a lot in leagues, had their own balls, etc.
At the bowling alley, they employed Japanese men as manual pin-setters. We used to go down to the end, and they would let us do all the work while they languidly sat back and smoked cigarettes.
We loved it, because there was noise, loud noise, and lots of violent, kinetic activity, pins flying everywhere, and to some boys, there is nothing so attractive as noise and kinetic activity!
Heh, sailors would be completely trashed, and we taunted them when they missed, so when were grabbing the pins, the sailors would toss one down trying to hit us while we were in the pit...:)
It was fun and dangerous game for impious boys...
Good storytelling.
