WASHINGTON—Former White House counsel Greg Craig was acquitted by a federal jury on Wednesday on a felony false-statement charge, a major vindication for one of the most prominent lawyers in Washington.
The jury acquitted Mr. Craig, who served as a top counselor to two Democratic presidents and a secretary of state, after less than five hours of closed-door deliberations at a courthouse in downtown Washington, D.C.

Exactly. If DOJ had wanted to convict him they would have tried the case in ED VA (the rocket docket) where all espionage and many terror cases are brought. Everyone knows DC criminal juries are far less likely to convict than VA.

I have reluctantly come to the conclusion that we are two countries within the boundaries of one. There was no way a DC jury would convict anyone connected to Clinton or Obama, just as San Francisco juries and judges will not convict an illegal alien obviously guilty of murder of Kate Steinle nor even of illegal gun possession. SFO council declared the NRA a domestic terror organization. They won’t allow the enforcement of immigration laws. So what happens? If they get in and try to confiscate legally held weapons, will there be states that tell them no we won’t enforce it or allow feds to do so. Will we recognize their Congress? Its a fine mess, Ollie and what I see is something like Britain where the majority votes to leave the EU and they get the finger back from their elected Parliament, including 22 backstabbers elected as members of the Party that supported Brexit.
The DOJ is never going to charge Comey and the gang for anything. All of the corruption, lying, etc. will never be punished. When Hillary can destroy computers, evidence, lie and get away with it, all future verdicts are in.
