"In a complex situation lacking a simple solution, we are trying to take constructive steps to reduce the risk that events like these will happen again."

That's just PR Bull. The actual effect on mass murderers of Walmart not selling ammunition is zero. Walmart's actions won't do anything to actually reduce the risk, and they should know that if anyone at their company has even a bit of skill in risk analysis.

There are constructive steps Walmart could take, like having better armed in store security, but they aren't taking those steps. They aren't really doing anything to make their stores safer, just doing some PR virtue signaling.

If you’re willing to do mail order, try Palmetto State Armory. I just bought 1,000 rounds of American Eagle .223/556 ammo for about $.25 per round, after rebate. They also have good deals on manh other calibers.

I truly HOPE that you will EMAIL, PHONE & WRITE to WALMART HQ & say “I won’t shop at your stores UNLESS you PERMANENTLY REVERSE the new ANTI-2nd Amendment policy”.

I don’t boycott anybody. Those are Communist tactics. I simply will no longer use their services or buy anything in their store.

Huge numbers of people die in alcohol-related car accidents every year.

When is WalMart going to ban the sale of beer, wine, and other alcohol beverages at all its stores?

Fwiw, MY personal favorite 7.62NATO/.308 rifle/carbine is the REMINGTON 7600P PUMP-GUN which has a 16.5” barrel & takes M14 mags as well as a 5 & 10 round factory mag.
(IF you can FIND any 5-round mags, BUY THEM as they are RARE.)

The 7600P is DEADLY ACCURATE (My cousin’s 7600P will make ONE about quarter-sized hole at 200M off the sandbags with service ammo.) out to well beyond 200M, QUICK firing/short/lightweight & HANDY in the brush.
(It must also be admitted that it, with the 16.5” tube, is REALLY LOUD.)
AND
It does NOT look “scarey”.

Yours, TMN78247

WOW!!! I didn’t think that we had COMMUNISTS in the 13 Colonies before the AWI when tea, “stamp-tax” documents & other items were BOYCOTTED.

This is good news for local gun stores and gunsmiths.

And good news for wacko killers who can rest more easily knowing there will far less return shooters at Wal-Mart...

“Walmart said Tuesday it will discontinue all sales of handgun ammunition.”

Walmart is awesome and can do whatever it wants. Walmart is bigger than Home Depot + Kroger + Target +Sears + Costco + K-Mart combined. Walmart is the world’s largest private employer and every employee is expected to speak English.

I wish Walmart would start managing the State of California. I do to my local shop to get ammunition just as I go to my local shop to get coffee.

I bought $300 worth of ammunition from Wal Mart this morning.

I two buckets of 22 LR, 3 boxes of 9mm, 2 boxes 3-0-6, and 2 38 special.

I might go back and get more at lunch time.

I see it differently. It’s business and free enterprise in action. They’re not restricting anybody’s right to buy a gun or ammunition. They just don’t want to have either A: customers afraid to shop in Walmart for fear of being shot (however infinitely small the odds are of that ) or B: “And the weapon with which the shooter gunned down forty seven people was purchased at a Walmart store in...” For the protection of their brand and their profits, they have made a corporate decision about what to sell and what they will allow in their stores, without infringing on anybody’s right to carry guns or buy guns and ammo elsewhere, and it seems to me that as a conservative it’s in line with my ideals to support that right. Just as any of us have the right not to shop at Walmart anymore.

Your post reminded me of this guy:

What did you think of that? I thought he shouldn’t have been arrested.
