I was 5 years old when my uncle threw me off the public
swimming pool hi diving board “ to learn how to swim”.
To this day I believe I could drown in the shower
I am 63 years old
People can be so cruel. I’m glad you didn’t drown.
Your “learn how to swim” post immediately brings back one of my FAVORITE jokes from “Hee Haw”:

Grandpa: “Roy, did you ever learn how to swim??”
Roy: “Yep. My daddy took me out in the boat in the middle of the lake, and throwed me over the side.”
