I did not read this story but there was a piece just yesterday or the day before specifically about the fact the farmers support for Trump has not flagged one bit despite the tariffs.
Keep in mind that the farmers were more or less bailed out by receiving billions in cash derived from the tariffs.
Yes, they are hanging with Trump despite their fears. And they are afraid. I go to church with a lot of farmers and virtually every week at Sunday school one asks for prayers that they be able to withstand these tariffs. They support Trump and are willing to stay the course but rightly or wrongly they are very concerned. I can easily see them taking this tweet as a slap in the face - that they wouldn't be afraid if they weren't bad businessmen.
