The 0 years had trillion dollar deficits. At worst the current administration is staying at that level. There is no large ballooning increase in the deficit.

When Obama was wracking up trillion dollar deficits we were in the depths of the worst recession in decades. When Trump wracks up trillion dollar deficits we're in the midst of the best economy in decades. We should be paying down the deficit under these conditions not running it up a record rates.

That’s how I see it as well. I’ve also said that, though I love trump, our deficit problem is beyond human intervention. All trump or any other future president can do is ride this bronco out along with the rest of us. We jumped off this cliff decades ago, and it’s gonna hurt when we hit the rocks below. All any president can do is put off the inevitable as long as possible.
