He's pointing to a recent Washington Post analysis that found that police investigated more than 200 bias-based crimes last year, but federal authorities prosecuted only three of them as hate crimes.

To a sane person, that would be evidence of widespread hoaxes, not sloppy prosecutions.

Bingo. Note the other “basis” for the claim.

“Christopher Wray, who told a Senate committee last month that “a majority of the domestic terrorism cases that we’ve investigated are motivated by some version of what you might call white supremacist violence.”

Key words: “that we’ve investigated”. IOW, they aren’t investigating anything else. His “vast majority” could mean 2 or 3 out of 5. None of the claims even try to prove an increasing rate of occurrence. I’m open to real evidence, but this looks to be an exercise in crisis manufacturing.
