If Trump’s approval fell as low as what the article says, then something big would have had to happen to make that occur.
The Dow going back down to where it was at Christmas would hurt, but not to 30% approval. So it’s a purely hypothetical question. Nixon’s approval was below 25% when he resigned, because at that level R senators were better off without him.
