Local broadcast station juggernaut Sinclair has officially completed a $10.6 billion deal to acquire 21 regional Fox Sports networks that Disney had previously absorbed in the landmark $71.3 billion deal it struck with 21st Century Fox on March 20.
After making the adjustment for minority interests, Sinclair is saying that the final purchase price for the RSNs is $9.6 billion.

They get all of their “information” from media corporations just as big as this one.
Wasn’t this Sinclair deal expected to have happened last year? Maybe this is unrelated.
The Smith family that is Sinclair is Baltimore-based and the men in charge are very conservative.
The way I understand it, Disney bought 21st Century Fox earlier this year but had to relinquish some per a court order in part due to its ownership of ESPN. Sinclair purchased those sports outlets that were on the market and it has now been approved.
Byron Allen is a good guy.
He financed the Chappaquiddick movie.
Too bad they don’t take over The Weather Channel and actually give us the local weather and radar “on the 8s” instead of all these incessant replays of stupid shows.
Nothing more frustrating than seeing alerts, with emergency tones, for your area crawling across the screen and some repeat of an idiotic “It Could Happen Tomorrow” show or a commercial that funds it instead of broadcasting a current radar loop.
