A conservative young Latina from Illinois is running for Congress as the anti-AOC.
Republican Catalina Lauf, 26, who is hoping to snag a Democratic-held seat outside Chicago, supports President Trump’s border wall, cites Ronald Reagan as an idol and hopes to be a counterweight to Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s congressional “Squad.”
If Lauf wins the seat, she would break the Bronx-Queens representative’s record as the youngest woman ever elected to Congress.

Yes, I’ve seen many candidates like this over the years that have been very impressive and would have been very great additions to the House (or other offices) - and they seem to always run in districts that GOP candidates cannot win. Although, this seat was previously held by a Republican that the current Democrat in it defeated in 2018, so perhaps she has a shot if she can raise several million dollars for the race - that’s one thing we are not organized at doing on our side - picking isolated races and “money bombing” them to make them competitive. We missed several opportunities in the Senate last year such as in Michigan - imagine if John James had raised $10 million in order to have a full media campaign starting at the first of September, rather than only having enough for the last two weeks of the campaign. That’s just 1 million people giving $10 on average, or 2 million giving $5. Doable - there are far more conservatives than that who could afford those kinds of small donations to multiple campaigns - if only we were organized.
Horseface ain’t gonna’ like this when this gal gets elected and gets in horseface’s face.
