She has been treated for pancreatic cancer before. This is (undoubtedly) a recurrence.

Gemcitabine, with or without Taxotere, has induced some remarkable remissions of advanced pancreatic cancer. But once it recurs, it’s usually fast.

I have not examined Justice Ginsburg and I do not (obviously) have access to her medical records, so the above statements are generalizations.

As they say, every case is different.

Good to hear oncologists making progress treating pancreatic cancer. How fast is the progression typically?
