President Trump’s former campaign manager Corey Lewandowski says he would shed his reputation as a partisan pit bull to become an effective bipartisan champion for New Hampshire in the Senate. But the famously in-your-face Trump ally said he’s worried about the personal cost.
“The truth is, the only hesitation I have is the dishonest media distorting my record … and saying things that are untruthful and putting my family and friends through a smear campaign,” Lewandowski said in an interview with the Washington Examiner.
With Trump all but endorsing him, Lewandowski would likely steamroll his Republican rivals in a September 2020 primary before facing Democratic Sen. Jeanne Shaheen in November. He has time to decide, with a June filing deadline, but says a decision may come sooner.

The dems are proven liars that will throw anything against the wall. The Kavanagh hearings have become the baseline for their fake smears. If family, friends and associates know the smears are fake, the risk is small. Not fun though.

Well if you don't want your opponents to tag you as a liar I'd suggest you stop making ridiculous promises like that.
She was a pretty popular governor. She has been a US Senator for a couple terms now. She does not say stupid things. She also does not really say anything too controversial.
Basically, she is like the little old lady who makes you cookies and will get you an abortion.
Nobody remembers that she had a hard time balancing the budget when she was governor.
Nobody can name a piece of legislation she has put forward.
They just vote for her.
Maggie Hanson(our other US Senator) beat the incumbent one term republican Senator Kelly Ayotte. Hanson was actually a good fiscal governor. As, she actually balanced the budget.
