This action is long overdue. The 14th Amendment was to assure freed slaves they were citizens and could vote. I believe a court case if properly framed will pass muster at SCOTUS.

What? The legislators who enacted that amendment didn’t intend to approve birth tourism? To grant citizenship to children of sneak-ins or border crashers?

True, that is why it was passed, but it contains NO expiration. The verbiage is just as lawful as the day is was included.

Let ‘em bring it to court. Unfort. nobody in the DOJ+ would dare frame it on the elephant in the room “..and subject to the jurisdiction thereof”. Govt lawyers will ‘forget’ illegals are advised to call their embassy, etc.

Then multiple tyrants in black cloaks will pass a camel through the eye to split hairs on something totally unrelated to strike it down.

I unfortunately cannot agree with you, because John Roberts is so unpredictable at times. We need to replace Ruth Buzzi Ginsburg first before we have an airtight majority.
