Even if they have to close a store for a few hours they can easily loose 5 figures of sales, plus paying wages of employees outside, OT for employees to re-stock abandoned carts, damaged perishable times left in said carts and possible loss of perishable product if the FD had to shut down all power to the store.
They were planning on burning them but some got started early?
Yes, I get it! But my point was that the headline was sensationalistic, not that Walmart didn’t suffer real losses.
