You are 100% correct. Therefore Trump should stop playing the “victim”. He can also order Barr to appoint a special prosecutor. He can fire Wray. He is not helpless.

He has managed to come out on top. If he fired Wray now, he would destroy any further corrupt resistance and truly show the craven FBI HQ pricks who is in charge. It would cement his victory

I know this is going to sound crazy but I believe President Trump would not fire him without having a replacement named already. That’s it he might not yet be able to find somebody willing to do the job and therefore does not fire him yet. Or maybe he is using him to flush out more people to identify to fire.
