My point is that if we are okay with eliminating debt for vets, down the road when Dems get control, they will find another group to apply the debt elimination. Without a detailed plan, we have to look ahead to all possible scenarios and whether we are willing to accept the bad with the good.

Personally, I believe we are a generous and giving citizenry when it comes to fundraising for vets. Perhaps something can be done in the private sector instead of relying on more government bureaucracy.

As someone pointed out, if someone is 100% T&P, the chances they will default on that debt is a lot higher than the average person with regular student loans. That’s why it’s being done that way for 100% and not just anyone with a claim.
