Speechless? I, too, can’t fathom the tragic results of a dog owner that was so careless to not keep the dogs securely penned.
I feel empty just having read the story.
The vicious propensities of several breeds of dogs should be considered as dangerous as an assault weapon. There are too many stories like this. Not mass killings in a school but robbing a little girl of her future life, to me, is the same.
I have three daughters and two grand daughters.

Only “one of the dogs was shot?” That is another tragedy...

I think had I been the unfortunate father of this child who was killed in a manner so horrible that I cannot even fathom it in my mind...

There would be three dead dogs, one dead dog owner and either me in prison for a long time, or me on my way to reunite with my daughter in the sky.

What's an "assault weapon"?

Firearms are inanimate objects … they don't go off on killing sprees all on their own.

Can't say the same of certain animals.
