Since Biden is such a known quantity, what guarantee is there that he will pick up support from others dropping out? I would think the support all the others currently get is because their supporters already know they want anyone else but Biden.
Sort of how the Republican machine loaded the field 4 years ago so Jeb! could win with less than 50% support (until that reality show guy showed up). Fifteen of the “candidates” 4 years ago were there only to dilute the conservative voter base, to enable moderate Jeb! clear sailing. (ditto Romney...ditto McStain)
Of course, if dozens remain in it all the way Biden wins, but he’s likely already maxed out on his numbers.

My theory is that as they know they’ll lose, not matter whom is the candidate, they’ll prop up a ‘fall guy’ - somebody that is expendable. That person is Joe Biden.
There’s no way they’ll allow Warren to experience the same fate as Hillary. They’ll want to save her for 2024. If Warren were the candidate it just looks like the D’s must have a woman candidate for the sake of having a woman candidate. While true, there’s enough sane people to know that’ll be obvious and also a loser.
That said, I’m making the assumption there’s ANY sanity left in the party. Their dripped hatred may get the best of them.

The number must be huge, considering the way it is being praised, but I have to wonder...twenty nine percent means 71%, THAT’S SEVENTY ONE PERCENT OF HIS PARTY doesn’t like him.
