I'm not defending these guys, but something doesnt square up here imho.

if the victims weren’t identified and didn’t cooperate with police, how were these two convicted. I’m not a cop, or a DA, but I thought if you brought charges you had to testify against the perp. You see that all the time on L&O/SVU. The DA says if she won’t testify then I can’t prosecute the case. Something is wrong here over and above the fact that both sides in an altercation bear responsibility.
