Why am I not at all surprised? The Arab world likes to talk loudly of their support of the Palestinians (and will occasionally write some checks) but all in all, they don’t want the Palis in their countries either.
Years ago, I read somewhere (can’t remember the source) that amongst the Arab world, Palestinians (and Somalis) were considered trailer trash. Don’t know if it’s true but I did read it at least once.
I’ve heard the idea phrased as “the palestinians are the underclass of the arab world.”

i’ve read similar items; one article said that REAL Arabs considered Palestinians as mongrel dogs and that NO Arab country would ever accept them into their own country ...
