NO SOLDIER who legitimately won decorations in any conflict, should EVER be stripped of those decorations. They did not send themselves into battle. Their governments did. Their heroic service is recognized by awarding them these accolades.
But in this case, that would also mean stripping 18 Black Buffalo soldiers of the 9th and 10th Cavalry, and the 24th Infantry of their Medals of Honor, awarded for service in the Indian Wars.
