I’m so tired of the narrative, perpetuated by the media, that you have to choose a side either “Pro-Israel” or “Pro-Palestinian”. That perpetuates conflict. And this mindset is seeping into US politics with the racial and ethnic division pushed by the Democrats.
But as far as this goes, you just need a real sense of universal principles and you can be both a Pro-Israel and Pro-Palestinian supporter. The problem is the left has no realistic value system other than their hierarchy of grievance groups.
I want the Palestinian people to be free and to prosper. This does not mean I support Hamas or the PLO or even the P.A. Those are corrupt, murderous organizations and worse, they oppress and suppress their people and perpetuate poverty and incite violence and foment war to keep their futile grudge alive - and that is what keeps them in power. Same with their religious leadership. I don’t care if you want to pray 5 times a day just don’t advocate blowing people up, don’t say it is OK to murder people and don’t preach hatred of other people. The last thing these groups need or want is a free and educated people. More Palestinians are killed and oppressed by Palestinian groups claiming some moral or legal authority than by Israelis. They execute people in the streets and hang them from lamposts like some of the Mexican drug gangs do. They need hope and as long as the US and EU continue to support the current Palestinian government the Palestinian people will suffer.
At least Trump has seen this for what it is and has cut off aid to many of the stupid programs that were funding incitement and oppression. Some EU countries have also scaled back aid such as funding that went to Jew-hating school books. Next, I believe, Trump will unveil his economic plan to lift the Palestinian people and give them economic hope. They will have to choose - another generation of conflict, or grab the lifeline and make peace and build a society that respects human and civil rights.

That’s exactly Israel’s position...so I’d say you have picked a side - obviously the correct side.
How do I know it’s Israel’s position? Easy, where they have Palestinians but none of the terror groups, the Palestinians are left to be free and prosper...and that is inside of Israel - well over a million of them.
