FACT is that, most people in P.R. are sick and tired of the politics and misery brought upon them by democrats, and you should have seen some proof of that with the riots that replaced the governor there last month. Hopefully, that's the beginning of a better life for most "'Ricans" (like you put it).

Lets hope that is reality. But the fact remains that PR is a welfare state. Welfare recipients always vote for more government handouts.

The welfare state is a creation of the democrats. And democrats made sure that P.R. remained so. Just like they've been doing with a great percentage of the U.s. population. So, what would you do with the many millions on welfare and dependents on government largess in the rest of the U.S. Give them away to, perhaps, Mexico? What the democrats wrought, we have to fix, and fixing does not mean being in denial and looking for easy answers, like, abandoning a whole country or a whole people.
