Forgive me, but have you been living under a rock since 1991? Not only is Russia not Communist anymore (not even CLOSE), but they dont have any problem whatsoever feeding their people. Ive spent a significant amount of time in Russia (and am actually here at the moment). Food is absolutely, positively, not a problem here. They have everything from the traditional local markets, to the neighborhood groceries, to the super/hyper markets just like we have. Every single one of these places is packed from floor to ceiling with food.

It’s said that the Russians want the Soviet Union to return, just without the Communism.

So is the U.S., and it has been said that it is the most successful communist country by those who used to live in them in the past and came here during those harder times, with the caveat that they unlike us resisted. Or the Father John Hardens of the world who long ago called the US the most successful communist country or something along those lines.
And given how upset the establishment is after a Trump win, if you had doubts then this should open your eyes. These people are everywhere, especially in places of power and influence and have nothing but contempt for truth. And they are sharpening there knives for a war with the segment of the population that does not share or has awakened from this garbage. And Russia and China are still controlled by communism as well even if they don't have the old appearance, the spirit is still present which makes them dangerous to their own people and everyone else. The communists have always had periods where they would appear to reform for a while in order to re-strengthen and then continue the revolution which unfortunately includes many in this country who have become drunk from this cup.

Spoken like a true believer. I spent much of last summer in Russia. You vastly sanitize the situation in Russia. Anything imported to Russia is much more expensive compared to imported products in the US or EU. Domestic Russian products are of lesser quality. You will get a much better selection of food and consumer products in the former soviet bloc countries of the EU.
