Ironic, isn't it? She has a Hispanic last name and must surely be aware of the virulent racism between the Blacks and Browns. Yet she can only focus on the specious white racism.
The funny part is that people such as this Torres are descendants, both genetically and culturally, of one of these conquering nations. In her true heritage there is more than enough glory.
As Americans are descendants of Britain, Torres is a daughter of Spain. There is no need for that chip on her shoulder, that sense of inferiority.
The American system of education does not teach that however.
