I will give you a little more to the story Wikipedia doesn't show.
The OFFICIAL story is Gary Webb shot himself with a shotgun with his brains blown out the back of his head. Then he put weapon down. Picked up a large caliber pistol and shot himself in the same area of the head. Blowing more of his brains out. The police found the pistol he shot himself with in a near by lake.

Murders do occur. As i said each investigation stands on its own merits. is there govt corruption by corrupt cops, etc? Yes, there likely is. Do they routinely go around killing US citizens? Probably not.
