An IT pro copies his client’s mailbox one email at a time to an outside vendor for data transfer? BS. If he did he should be fired for utter incompetence.
That was my first thought. I've been in the Corporate IT world for over 25 years, and I found this method to be one of the dumbest things I've heard and I've seen some pretty stupid IT processes.

Funny thing... the fbi said Combetta made up the dummy account in 2012, but HRC mail was already rerouting to that dummy account in 2010!!!!
The IG tech who discovered the reroute address said carterheavyindustries was a CHINESE operation, for the Chinese guvmint. The difference he said was the dummy account was the same but separated. It read “Carter Heavy Industries”.
