He chose to have medical assistance in dying so the choice was not forced on him.

If he did not get the care he needed he was going to die a very painful death. Plus he was going to die since no one outlives Lou Gerigs disease.

What is your choice? Indefinite taxpayer funding for care? Slow agonizing death from the lack of care should you chose not to pay for his care? Or would you offer a way for him to go peaceably into the night?
