rogressives in America have always embraced the flawed concept of social engineering. Through centralized planning and manipulation, they believe they can manage social change and regulate the development and behavior of individuals in a society. They denounce individuality and social freedoms and reject equal opportunity and self-motivation as sufficient for a society’s success, instead demanding equal results for all -- a statutory per capita quality of life. Fortunately this type of faux engineering has never worked in any society in the history of man -- had it, we’d all be little more than robots. Still, progressives attempt to use it over and over again.
Reparations stands out as a grand example of this – a once failed attempt to fix the black American problem that is again on the liberal progressive agenda. The Great Society by Lyndon Baines Johnson was and still is reparations for blacks, to the current day tune of $50 billion. And blacks are no better off for it -- nay, they are worse.
Liberals would like us to believe their social engineering schemes are altruistic. Minorities, those by their definition less fortunate, must have just as much success and happiness in life as the majority and any and all forms of social engineering to that end will benefit society as a whole. Today’s Democratic candidates for the 2020 Presidential election are pushing all types of social engineering: Medicare for all, basic income, affordable housing, reparations, and climate change. But control is the central motivation behind the Progressive Wizard’s curtain.

Control is the motivation, the “causes” are just a means to and end and that end is a money grab for the leftists, NOT for the African-Americans or anyone else. Health insurance was supposed to be a grand thing, however, we are the only developed country now with yearly losses on life expectency, which coincided with the law coming into force. At the same time big pharma is making record profits and are able to go after the deep pockets of taxpayer money and deficit spending. This is all just a money grab. Money is power, and power is what they are after. Probably to feed our economy to China, which was happening before Trump came along.
The Nazis, communists and other left wing groups all believe in the utopian vision of the “ New Man”. It’s pathetic.
LBJ’s pay-off to the undeserving has cost the US taxpayers more than $16 TRILLION dollars. His goal for the Great Society give-away was to have the Blacks (he used the N-word) vote Democrat for 200 years. Too bad his ruinous program that destroyed the Black family structure was not buried with him.
Our rulers have one simple rule for the deplorables—obey or else.

Defending the citizens of the republic is now fascism.

I don't know where the "current day tune" of $50 billion comes from.
The total cost of Great Society payments, either as cash or as jobs like "VP for Community Relations", as well as free college and public sector jobs that do not require performance (think Chief of Police in Baltimore) is in the multi-trillions of dollars. Someone said ten years ago taht it was $7 trillion, by now it is certainly much higher.
There needs to be a serious discussion of reparations.
What we have now is non-serious. We are paying trillions upon trillions with no expected result and no metrics, and no way to end it, while the targeted population's physical and cultural environment grows steadily worse. I mean, how many white children being murdered in the streets of Chicago would we tolerate?
The current reparations system lacks both a purpose and an agreed upon end point. It is happening because the people responsible FUNDAMENTALLY BELIEVE THERE IS A DEBT TO BE PAID.
Whether you agree with this or not is irrelevant. As long as your fellow citizens continue sending people to Congress who believe this, or continue to elect Presidents who tolerate Executive Branch enforcement officers who believe it, the status quo will continue.
If you don't like the status quo, you need a plan to end it.
To end it, you need an answer to "how much is enough to mark the debt paid in full?"
Having said as much as this before, I expect most answers to be "F*** that, f*** them, I'm not paying". But you are paying. You are paying every day, from taxes to a deteriorating public space, to the ruination of our cities. You are paying for moving vans. You are paying for your rural land in Kentucky, or wherever.
If this goes on another 50 years, following current logic, the price is going to be the lives of your grandchildren.
The people who lived in the 1700s should have picked their own damn cotton, yes. But they didn't.
We are where we are, and we need a better plan.
Lyndon Baines Johnson was a Texas sized gangster, far more dangerous than all those with the colorful nicknames pursued by Melvin Purvis, who grew up a very few miles from where I sit now. He was truly the opposite of a great American president and Richard Nixon looks like George Washington by comparison.
Obeying has become a trap, though. If you play by the rules you can count on someone like Obama coming along with an executive order that makes discrimination against older workers (who have played by the rules) legal. Or, you can count on congress forcing through a healthcare law over the objections of their constituents that loses them the next election and reverses life expectency gains for years to come. If you play by the rules of the people who actually call you deplorable I don’t think any good can be expected to come of it. We need to organize, and we need to follow the money.
It is the type that thinks they can legislate and nanny their way to utopia. You see it in Islam, too, from fatwas saying men can’t handle melons to the micro-rules on how to go to the bathroom.
REPARATIONS: This is an ORIGINAL IDEA of mine and that is American blacks should pay “REVERSE REPARATIONS” to the descendants of European settlers.
Why? Because contemporary American Blacks enjoy a standard of living FAR HIGHER than they would have had if their ancestors had stayed in Africa. The high standard of living in the US is due to the sophistication of Western Civilization’s science & technology and Western Civilization’s democratic political systems.
Moreover, these American Blacks did not suffer under slavery. Only their distant ancestors did.
Therefore, we should go along with the demands of reparations and come up with a dollar amount “owed” to each American Black for “reparations.”
THEN we should ALSO quantify a dollar amount representing how much more they have here in Western Civilization that they would have if they were still living in the shithole called Africa.
Ont top of that, we should total up all of the “Great Society” HANDOUTS that have been generously GIVEN to American Blacks such as welfare, food stamps, affirmative action. Add that to the $$ that American Blacks OWE to the descendants of the European settlers. The number will be huge because the amount of handouts since the 1960’s is actually in the trillions, not billions.
On balance, every American Black would OWE a lot more to the descendants of the European settlers than they would receive in so-called “reparations.”
This would effectively end the tribal chants for “Reparations” - especially if an invoice is sent to every American Black who complains about reparations.
Claims of a “need” for us to pay reparations are all part of the racist Left’s dishonest plan to “Make America Guilty Again.”
