“No law degree”

A JD is a law degree. Romney’s got one. BTW His Bain capital also destroyed a lot of jobs.

Anyway, this is a simplistic argument. The Bush-Cheney Administration was a disaster, even though neither was a lawyer. And the fact they were Republicans doesn’t make their record any less bad, the recession/depression they left any less deep, the unending wars they started any less destructive and expensive, and the immigration policy any less open. I’m tired of being told “you must always applaud the Republicans” like I’m a toddler. GOP has given us some stinkers, even without law degrees (and sometimes - Mitt - with them)

Not that I like Romney, but didn’t Bain Capital take companies that had money problems and carve them up like turkeys and sell the profitable bits, and let the other parts fallow?

There is a market for that but the reason they are up for sale to Bain is they are about to fail, or will be sold for what ever reason, and Bain is just the undertaker because their value whole is too low for a regular buyer.

It is not a law degree that can be used as an attorney. He cannot practice law, nor can he be accepted by a bar anywhere in the US as a practicing lawyer. It is a knowledge only degree for the endeavors he chooses.

From their website:

Harvard Law School (HLS) and Harvard Business School (HBS) offer a joint degree program in law and business. Completion of the program leads to the degrees of Juris Doctor and Master in Business Administration (JD/MBA). The program is designed for students who have the background that will enable them to handle the rigorous and concentrated course of study. It allows students to gain expertise in both the law and general management practices. The program prepares students for careers in which an understanding of both legal and business principles is essential.

It is not a practicing law degree. He is not an attorney and never studied to be one. I have a degree in accounting. I also had to study business law to become an accountant. I am not, and never have been, a lawyer nor studied for the bar. Same thing as taking biology doesn’t make you a doctor.
