The problem in HK is the protest has been INFILTRATED by goons. Many Hongkongers claim that they were sent by the Chicoms to create trouble to show to the world that the protesters are nothing but troublemakers. Hongkongers will tell you for over a million protesters, only a few thousand sent from China could cause chaos in the march.
If you speak to the Chinese in the mainland on the other hand, they will claim that these rioters are being supported by the USA ( specifically our CIA via the NED ( National Endowment for Democracy ).
