Just because a state legalizes medical or recreational marijuana, and the feds don’t go after users, doesn’t change the fact that feds still consider it illegal and make users prohibited persons when it comes to firearms. Whether or not this is fair or wise or right is beside the point, it is what it is right now.
If you get a prescription for medical marijuana you have officially labeled yourself as a prohibited person.
