The city of Springdale, Arkansas became the latest to declare support for the rights of unborn babies on Tuesday in resistance to the radical pro-abortion agenda that is being pushed on Americans.
In front of a crowded room, the Springdale City Council voted 6-1 in favor of the pro-life resolution, the Arkansas Democrat Gazette reports.
The resolution declares Springdale to be a pro-life city. It also tells the abortion chain Planned Parenthood that it is not welcome there, according to the report.
Though the statement does not have any legal weight, it sends a message that Springdale supports life, said council member Colby Fulfer, who proposed the measure.
Theres no way were going to ban abortion, because Roe v. Wade is still in place, he said. We want to say the government of Springdale supports life from creation to conception to the end stages of life.
Fulfer said he is concerned about Planned Parenthood opening a new location in their city after it closed its Fayetteville branch in July.
The citys pro-life statement is respectfully asking the abortion provider to find another city, he added.
Prior to the vote, a number of people gave public statements for and against the resolution. One was local resident Eddie Cantu who shared how his mother tried to abort him, according to the report.
She drank all kinds of things to cause an abortion and none of them worked, he said. Its not that she didnt want me. But if there had been a clinic, I might not be here today.
Heres more from the local news:
Speakers supported both sides of the issue, with nine speaking in support of the resolution and nine against.

It’s the future of the U.S., and I think the start of the big split-up or reconfiguration of the country.
As cities, counties, and states begin nullifying laws or becoming sanctuaries for pretty much anything, Federal or state authority will start to breakdown. Weed, guns, illegal immigration or “banning ICE”. Soon it will be taxes, and many other things.
Good or bad? I dont know.
Funny how that is.
The rest of us are targeted for intentional genocide, via abortion and birth control, as we have been since the late sixties.
Its the future of the U.S., and I think the start of the big split-up or reconfiguration of the country.

Interesting, and perhaps prescient, comment.
The concept of sanctuary cities can quickly morph into sanctuary towns and counties. The possibilities are endless.
It may turn out that the Left opened a can of worms. What’s good for the Left can also be good for the Right.
Clearly we have a great cultural/moral divide in this country. It will have to resolve itself one way or another.
Oh, you ARE correct. Sanctuary cities for “2nd Amendment” are turning things upside down....because if the left tries to legally challenge the 2nd Amendment Sanctuary City, then they end up overruling their OWN sanctuary cities, etc.
I wonder about that. For example, could we split into the Liberal States of America, and the Conservative States of America?
But then, if this happened, how do you draw the boundaries, and what about people stuck “behind enemy lines”?
For example, California would be a major state in the Liberal States of America. Yet, there are millions in California who voted for Trump, and presumeably would not want to be a citizen of a new liberal country.
And there are big liberal groupings in “conservative” states such as Louisiana or Mississippi or Nebraska.
Louisiana has a group of liberals working hard to reelect the Democrat governor on October 1. These liberals already dominate the major cities of LA, excluding Lafayette, and look toward forming a new majority..
I see more of a virtual split than a physical one. My point was that the sanctuary city concept can be lead to certain areas/communities declaring themselves a sanctuary for this or that purpose and simply ignoring the laws of the larger state or even the federal government.
That’s what the liberals are already doing. They set the precedent for what is effectively a form of virtual secession. When they don’t like a law they simply ignore it — and nothing happens.
Admittedly, its a very complicated issue. But our sharp cultural and legal differences will have to resolve themselves eventually. Perhaps sooner rather than later.
Another complication that I think we’ll see before long is that several of the blue states run into serious financial problems (of their own making) and demand that the rest of the country bail them out. That’s when things will really get contentious.
Yet, there are millions in California who voted for Trump, and presumeably would not want to be a citizen of a new liberal country.

With regard to that point I believe some regions in California are already trying to separate themselves from the state. Not sure what the status of those efforts are but as I recall there were at several movements to do this that would result in separate states if successful.
