Mystery, Anger Linger Over the Firing of a Pro-Trump Top State Department Official
Breitbart News ^ | 14 Aug 19 | Kristina Wong

Kiron Skinner, a top State Department official and respected black foreign policy scholar, was fired earlier this month, but exactly why she was fired remains something of a mystery.

Immediately after she was fired, Politico published a piece citing anonymous sources that blamed her “abusive” management style, including “making homophobic remarks” and accusing people of having affairs.

(Excerpt) Read more at breitbart.com ...

TOPICS: Extended News; Foreign Affairs; Government; Politics/Elections
KEYWORDS:
Dr. Skinner is a protege of Condy Rice. Couldn't call her racist, so "homophobe" had to do.

In my admittedly limited personal experience, homosexuals are over-represented in the State Department. I suspect that probably explains not only much of why Dr. Skinner was abruptly dismissed, but also much of US hostility to Russia. It certainly contributes to DC having a homosexual population per capita greater than any of the 50 states. (8.6% DC adults self-identified as LGBT in a Gallop poll v. about 5% in the gayest of other states.)

More significantly, though, Dr. Skinner argued against elitism in foreign affairs and advocated for hiring policies to bring in genuine scholars with deep political and cultural understanding and language skills relevant to the regions they were to cover. Obviously, existing DoS bureaucrats felt threatened.

However, the fact that Dr. Skinner is an African-American conservative is the main reason DoS bureaucrats had her ousted.

Just can’t imagine many government workers having affairs...

The carpet grazers and fudge packers are well entrenched at State and continue to push THEIR warped twisted agenda. God forbid anybody in a position of power force them to promote the interests of the USA over their own.

I've seen her on TV {not recently} and she is very articulate {and clean}.

It would seem to me that she would be a great interview for some one that wanted the facts {Sara Carter, John Solomon}.

So, Dr. Skinner allegedly accused some in the state department of having affairs. How ludicrous! Next I suppose she might accuse some in the FBI of the same conduct. Yep, this black female Trump supporter had to go.

Question not answered: who has the power to fire her? If Pompeo wanted her to stay, she would still be there. You don’t get fired at her level without the SOS knowing about it.

Sounds like she needs to be un-fired.

No this is much simpler than that......
Careerists vs current admin appointees. Has been true since the thirties The left/ communists have dominated the careerists. They hate America and the idea of America first. Trump is antithesis to them. Hillary was one of them

There is very possibly something else, less sinister and something that doesn’t fit the media “homophobe” template.

Skinner spent much of her last 20 years as a writer/think tank person. This isn’t exactly a “management” job. It’s certainly not a “people” job, regardless of sexual orientation. It may well be that she simply wasn’t cut out for management.

When Trump first came in, Steve Bannon asked if I wanted a job, say, Librarian of Congress or some such. I instantly refused. First I hate Washington DC and second, I am absolutely NOT cut out to be a department head.

Good riddance, then. The Bush taint is nearly as bad as the Obama taint if not every bit its equal.

Hire her back and give her a promotion over the folks who fired her.

Problem solved.

I think people BADLY UNDERESTIMATE that angle. People may not remember, but I do, since I follow Russia-related events, but just after the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi (Russia), Putin signed a law protecting children against recruitment by gays...virtually on THAT DAY, they instantly changed from our friend to our enemy.

He also took back Crimea, but that was always part of Russia (and should have never been given to the Ukraine), and is/was populated by a population that is 90% ethnic Russian, so that was a minor event.

Homofascism is a spectre that hangs over all our heads in today’s workplace. I hope Dr Skinner sues!
